It is developed for deep structural correction, facial contouring and augmentation, and is used by clinics for the cheeks, cheekbones, chin, nose and jawline, as well as severely deep lines and deep nasolabial folds. Revolax Sub-Q with Lidocaine is an injectable medical device for administration by trained medical professionals only, and is not for retail sale or self-administration. It is placed in the deep subcutaneous plane for structural correction, volume enhancement and contouring, which demands advanced anatomical knowledge. Before treatment the patient's suitability and medical history must be assessed, and the patient informed of the indications, contraindications and possible adverse effects. The area to be treated should be disinfected thoroughly and the product injected under sterile conditions; keep the syringe at room temperature for 30 minutes before injection and press the plunger until a small drop is visible at the needle tip. It must not be injected into blood vessels, and it must not be injected into the eye contour, meaning the ocular circle or the eyelids. If the needle blocks, do not increase pressure on the plunger rod; stop and replace the needle.

For adult patients assessed as suitable by the treating practitioner, typically those seeking deep structural correction, facial contouring or augmentation of the cheeks, cheekbones, chin, nose or jawline. It must not be used in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, in people under 18 years of age, in patients known to be hypersensitive to hyaluronic acid, or in patients who tend to develop hypertrophic scarring. It must not be used in association with laser therapy, chemical peeling or dermabrasion, or in areas presenting cutaneous inflammatory or infectious processes. Because it contains lidocaine, the total dose administered must be taken into account where a dental block or topical lidocaine is used at the same time; high doses above 400 mg can cause acute toxic reactions affecting the central nervous system and cardiac conduction. Lidocaine should be used with caution in patients receiving other local anaesthetics or structurally related agents such as certain antiarrhythmics, and in patients with epilepsy, cardiac conduction disorders, severe hepatic impairment or severe renal dysfunction.
