  • Firm gel that provides lifting capacity and structural support for the deeper planes of the face
  • Restores volume and contour in the cheeks and midface, and improves the chin profile in mild to moderate chin retrusion
  • Also indicated for volume deficit in the dorsal hand, so it supports non-surgical hand rejuvenation as well as facial work
  • Corrects moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles, such as nasolabial folds

  • Stabilised hyaluronic acid at 20 mg/mL, cross-linked with BDDE and buffered to pH 7

Indications and Professional Use

Main indications

  • Moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles, such as nasolabial folds, by implantation into the deep dermis to superficial subcutis
  • Cheek augmentation and correction of age-related midface contour deficiencies in patients over the age of 21
  • Volume deficit in the dorsal hand in patients over the age of 21
  • Augmentation of the chin region for mild to moderate chin retrusion in patients over the age of 21

Professional use

Restylane Lyft Lidocaine is an injectable medical device for administration exclusively by licensed, appropriately trained healthcare practitioners in a controlled clinical setting. It is not for retail sale and never for self-administration. It is implanted into the deep dermis to superficial subcutis for folds and wrinkles, subcutaneously to supraperiosteally for cheek augmentation and midface contour, subcutaneously and or supraperiosteally for the chin, and into the subcutaneous plane in the dorsal hand. The maximum injected volume per treatment session, including touch-up, is 4 ml, and no single injection site should receive more than 2 ml. Hand treatment involves different anatomy from facial work and should not be undertaken on the basis of facial experience alone.

Treatment areas

  • Cheeks, for volume and contouring
  • Midface, for lifting and structure
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Chin, for projection and profile
  • Hands, for volume restoration

Patient profile

For adult patients assessed as suitable by the treating practitioner, with the cheek, dorsal hand and chin indications applying to patients over the age of 21. Patient selection, injected volume, plane and technique follow the practitioner's clinical assessment. Because the gel contains lidocaine hydrochloride 3 mg/mL, patients with known hypersensitivity to lidocaine or to amide-type local anaesthetics must not receive this reference. It is contraindicated in patients with severe allergies manifested by a history of anaphylaxis, or a history or presence of multiple severe allergies, and in patients with a history of allergy to gram-positive bacterial proteins, since the gel contains trace amounts of such material. Injection into the hand may cause adverse events lasting more than 96 days, which patients should be warned of before treatment.

How Restylane Lyft Lidocaine Works

Restylane Lyft Lidocaine works through stabilised hyaluronic acid at 20 mg/mL cross-linked with BDDE, formulated as a firm gel so that when implanted in the deep dermis or superficial subcutis it provides structural support and lift rather than simply filling a line. The incorporated lidocaine hydrochloride acts locally to reduce pain during injection and plays no part in the correction. This makes it suitable for practitioners rebuilding midface or chin structure, or restoring volume to the dorsal hands.
