Revanesse Kiss™+

Revanesse Kiss+ is a colourless, odourless, transparent aqueous gel of synthetic origin from Prollenium Medical Technologies in Aurora, Canada. It carries cross-linked hyaluronic acid at 25 mg/mL with lidocaine in phosphate-buffered saline, cross-linked with BDDE. It is indicated for the treatment of facial rhytides and lipoatrophy by injection into the skin, with an implantation life averaging 6 to 12 months. Each box contains two 1.2 mL syringes with up to two sterilised 27G needles.

Professional use

For professional use. Revanesse Kiss+ should only be injected by or under the direct supervision of qualified physicians trained in the proper injection technique for filling facial wrinkles, and is not for retail sale or self-administration. The area must be thoroughly disinfected and injection performed under sterile conditions; bring the product to room temperature for 30 minutes beforehand, prime the syringe until a small drop appears at the needle tip, and inject slowly with the least pressure necessary. If the skin blanches, stop immediately and massage until normal colour returns. It must not be injected into an area already containing another filler or a permanent implant, and must not contact quaternary ammonium salts such as benzalkonium chloride. Store between 2 and 25 degrees Celsius, protected from direct sunlight and freezing.

Because it contains lidocaine, it is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any amide-type local anaesthetic and in patients with a history of allergy to such material. Further contraindications include hypertrophic scarring, acne or other inflammatory skin disease, acute or chronic skin disease at or near the injection site, auto-immune disorders or immunotherapy, multiple severe allergies, coagulation defects or anti-coagulation therapy, sensitivity to hyaluronic acid, and unattainable expectations. It contains trace amounts of gram-positive bacterial proteins and is contraindicated in patients allergic to such material. It must not be used during pregnancy or lactation, in anyone under 18, or in conjunction with laser, intense pulsed light, chemical peeling or dermabrasion.
