Saypha Rich is a sterile, biodegradable, viscoelastic, clear, transparent, isotonic and homogenised injectable gel implant from Croma-Pharma in Austria. It consists of non-animal sodium hyaluronate at 18 mg/ml, obtained from Streptococcus equi bacteria, with glycerol 20 mg/ml in a phosphate-citrate buffer at pH 6,8 to 7,6.
Unlike the rest of the range it is not cross-linked. It is indicated to replenish the loss of hyaluronic acid due to ageing, to improve hydration, tone and elasticity of the skin, and to act as a filler for small lines such as crow's feet, smile lines or the lines surrounding the mouth. It is injected into the superficial dermal tissue, preferably deeper. Each box contains one pre-filled 1,0 ml syringe with two 30G 1/2 inch disposable sterile needles.

Professional use
Saypha Rich must be injected into non-inflamed, disinfected, healthy skin by an appropriately trained practitioner, and is not for retail sale or self-administration. Technique is essential to the outcome: use the 30G 1/2 inch needle provided with the syringe and inject slowly with the appropriate technique. The gel attracts water and increases its volume in situ, so large volumes should be avoided in the periorbital area. Initial treatment can be supplemented with one or two additional sessions at a three-week interval, depending on the skin's condition. A light massage after injection helps distribute the product uniformly. It must not be used in areas presenting cutaneous, inflammatory or infectious processes, or in association with laser therapy, chemical peeling, dermabrasion or mesotherapy. Do not use any needle or syringe other than those provided, do not bend the needle, and do not re-use the syringe.

It must not be used in patients who tend to develop hypertrophic scars, have pigment disorders or a susceptibility to keloid formation, in patients with a history of autoimmune disease or receiving immune therapy, in patients known to be hypersensitive to hyaluronic acid, in patients who have previously received permanent fillers in the area to be treated, in pregnant or breastfeeding women, or in patients under 18 years of age. Patients on anticoagulants or receiving platelet aggregation inhibitors such as acetylsalicylic acid should not be treated without consulting their doctors.
