Saypha Volume is a sterile, biodegradable, viscoelastic, clear, transparent, isotonic and homogenised injectable gel implant from Croma-Pharma in Austria. It consists of highly cross-linked hyaluronic acid obtained from Streptococcus equi bacteria, formulated to 23 mg/ml in a physiologic phosphate buffer at pH 6,8 to 7,4 with sodium chloride, and contains no anaesthetic.
It is indicated to correct deeper wrinkles and folds, to increase or restore volume to the face and to remodel facial contours, and is injected into the deep dermis or subcutis. Each box contains one pre-filled 1,0 ml syringe, two 27G 1/2 inch disposable sterile needles and two batch-number labels for traceability.

Professional use
Saypha Volume must only be used by doctors who have received specific training in the injection technique for filling wrinkles, and is not for retail sale or self-administration. It is injected into the deep dermis or subcutis. It must not be used in areas presenting cutaneous, inflammatory or infectious processes such as acne or herpes, and must not be used in association with laser therapy, chemical peeling, dermabrasion or mesotherapy. Several sessions are preferable to injecting high volumes in one session. Do not use any needle or syringe other than those provided by the manufacturer, do not bend the needle, and do not re-use the syringe.

For adult patients assessed as suitable by the treating practitioner, typically those seeking restored volume or remodelled contours rather than correction of a surface line. This reference contains no anaesthetic, so anaesthesia is controlled separately if required. It must not be used in patients who tend to develop hypertrophic scars, have pigment disorders or a susceptibility to keloid formation, in patients with a history of autoimmune disease or receiving immune therapy, in patients known to be hypersensitive to hyaluronic acid, in patients who have previously received permanent fillers in the area to be treated, in pregnant or breastfeeding women, or in patients under 18 years of age. Patients on anticoagulants or receiving platelet aggregation inhibitors such as acetylsalicylic acid should not be treated without consulting their doctors.
