Neauvia Intense is a biodegradable hyaluronic acid filler cross-linked with PEG, manufactured by Matex Lab in Brindisi, Italy. It is resorbed over time and intended to restore lost volume of the soft tissue. At 28 mg/mL with a high extrusion force, it is the structural reference of the Intense line, placed in the subcutis and over the periosteum where projection is needed. Like every filler in the range it is enriched with glycine and L-proline, and is built on Neauvia's patented Smart Crosslinking Technology, which combines hyaluronic acid and PEGDE in a single network.

Neauvia Intense is only to be used by physicians in accordance with local legislation, trained in the injection techniques of hyaluronic acid based fillers, and is not for retail sale or self-administration. It is placed in the subcutis and/or over the periosteum using the 21G or 22G needle or cannula supplied in the box. Neauvia Intense functions as a space-filling agent, mechanically expanding the soft tissue and adding volume directly where it is placed. Its PEGDE cross-linking gives the hydrogel high conformational flexibility, allowing shape modification without structural damage, which governs how the gel behaves under mechanical stress both during injection and through its life in the tissue. Glycine and L-proline, both proteinogenic amino acids, are added to the phosphate buffer solution to tune the viscoelastic properties and swelling resistance, giving better control of the hydrogel's swelling capacity in the post-implant phase.
