Pluryal Volume Lidocaine

Pluryal Volume Lidocaine is a monophasic cross-linked hyaluronic acid dermal filler from the Pluryal Fillers Lidocaine range, manufactured by MD Skin Solutions Laboratoires in Luxembourg. It is formulated at 2.3% (23 mg/mL) hyaluronic acid obtained from Streptococcus equi bacteria and cross-linked with BDDE to a residual level of ≤ 2 ppm, in a phosphate buffer with NaCl supplemented with 0.3% lidocaine hydrochloride, whose ancillary role is to reduce the pain associated with injections into the skin. With an elastic modulus (G’) of 400,000 mPa, the Pluryal Volume Lidocaine filler is indicated for correcting deeper wrinkles and folds, restoring volume to the face and remodelling facial contours, and for addressing facial lipoatrophy, debilitating scars and morphological asymmetry. It can be easily injected using a 27G ½” thin-wall needle into the deep dermis or subcutis, with treatment repeated every 9-12 months or as required. It is a class III medical device for professional use only.

The gel contains lidocaine hydrochloride, so hypersensitivity to lidocaine is a relevant consideration in patient selection.
