VIVACY specifies injection into the deep dermis and into the subcutaneous plane when treating volume on the back of the hand, using linear threading, multipoint injection, or a combination of both with a 27G half-inch needle or a cannula whose gauge and length are selected by the practitioner. This reference contains lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate 0.3% w/w, so patients must be screened for sensitivity to amide-type local anaesthetics before treatment.
