Juvéderm Ultra 3

Juvéderm Ultra 3 is a hyaluronic acid injectable by Allergan Aesthetics, formulated for the correction of moderate to deeper skin depressions and lip enhancement. It is suitable for authorised medical practitioners for treating facial depressions and improving lip definition and volume. The product contains cross-linked hyaluronic acid at 24 mg/mL and 3 mg/mL of lidocaine hydrochloride and is intended for professional use. Each box contains two 1 mL pre-filled syringes, four single-use 27G 1/2" needles and traceability labels.

• Injectable implant for mid and/or deep depressions of the skin, and for lip definition and enhancement

Uso profesional

Juvéderm Ultra 3 is an injectable medical device supplied strictly for administration by licensed, appropriately trained healthcare practitioners within a controlled clinical environment. It is not for retail sale to consumers and never for self-administration. The injection plane, volume per site and technique are selected by the treating practitioner. It must not be injected in the periorbital area, meaning the eyelids and crow's feet, or in the glabellar region; application in the under-eye area is to be performed only by specialists specifically trained in that technique with a sound knowledge of the physiology of the area. It must not be injected into blood vessels, since intravascular injection may lead to embolisation, occlusion of the vessels, ischaemia or infarction, and it must not be overcorrected. It must not be used simultaneously with laser treatment, deep chemical peels or dermabrasion; for surface peels, injection is not recommended where the inflammatory reaction is significant. Juvéderm Ultra 3 must not be substituted for another reference in the range, since the products differ in syringe volume, needle gauge and intended depth.

Perfil del paciente

For adult patients assessed as suitable by the treating practitioner. Patient selection, treatment area, injected volume and injection plane are determined by the practitioner following clinical assessment. The product must not be used in patients suffering from untreated epilepsy, patients who tend to develop hypertrophic scarring, patients with known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid or to gram-positive bacterial proteins, patients with known hypersensitivity to lidocaine or to amide-type local anaesthetics, patients suffering from porphyria, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or children. It must not be used in areas presenting cutaneous inflammatory or infectious processes such as acne or herpes.
