HArmonyCa Lidocaine

HArmonyCa Lidocaine is a hybrid hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite injectable facial implant for the Allergan Aesthetics range, intended for facial soft tissue augmentation. It is suitable for authorised medical practitioners, who place it in the deep dermal and sub-dermal layers of the mid and lower face, where the hyaluronic acid provides an immediate lifting and volumising effect and the calcium hydroxyapatite microspheres support sustained collagen stimulation, so one treatment gives both an instant result and progressive structural support. The product contains calcium hydroxyapatite microspheres of 25 to 45 microns at 55.7%, cross-linked sodium hyaluronate gel at 20 mg/mL, phosphate buffer and lidocaine hydrochloride at 3 mg/mL (0.3%) to reduce pain during treatment, and it is a CE-marked medical device for professional use by authorised medical practitioners only. It is supplied as two 1.25 mL pre-filled glass syringes with two single-use 27G half-inch thin-wall sterile needles.

Uso profesional

For use only by authorised medical practitioners in accordance with local regulation, under sterile conditions, following clinical assessment. Single use, single patient; do not re-sterilise. Insert at approximately 30 degrees into the deep dermis with the bevel oriented downwards, using a linear threading technique, and cross-hatching in layers where larger volumes are required. Aspirate before injecting. Subsequent treatments may be required, with at least seven days between treatments to allow evaluation of the outcome, and at least four weeks between ultrasound-based, laser or peeling treatments and use of this product. It is contraindicated in pregnancy or breastfeeding, in patients under 18, in patients with known sensitivity to any product component or to lidocaine or other amide-type local anaesthetics, and in patients with conditions for which lidocaine is contraindicated. It is also contraindicated in skin disease or abnormal skin conditions, acute or chronic infection or inflammation at or near the treatment site, susceptibility to keloid or hypertrophic scarring, impaired wound healing, prolonged bleeding, a history of anaphylaxis or multiple severe allergies, known sensitivity to steroids, herpes, and autoimmune disease. It must not be injected into the glabellar or periocular areas, the lips or perioral region, regions containing foreign bodies, blood vessels or highly vascularised areas, or the epidermis or superficial dermis.

Perfil del paciente

Patients aged 18 years or older who are suitable for facial soft tissue augmentation following clinical assessment by an authorised medical practitioner. Contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and in patients meeting the other exclusion criteria, including known sensitivity to any product component or to amide-type local anaesthetics. Safety and efficacy have not been evaluated in diabetic patients, in patients previously treated with other filling implants, or in patients with a history of keloid formation, connective tissue disease, active bleeding disorders, active hepatitis, cancer, stroke or myocardial infarction, or on immunosuppressive therapy.
