How long does ELLANSÉ last?
Ellansé S lasts up to 18 months and Ellansé M up to 24 months. The two differ only in the initial polymer chain length of the PCL. Duration also depends on injection technique, patient lifestyle and metabolic rate.
Is ELLANSÉ a filler?
Yes. ELLANSÉ is a dual-action dermal filler. Its carboxymethylcellulose gel fills areas of volume loss immediately, while its PCL microspheres stimulate the body's own collagen production over time. PCL is biodegradable and is broken down into carbon dioxide and water.
Where must ELLANSÉ not be injected?
ELLANSÉ must not be injected into the periorbital region (eyelids, tear troughs, crow's feet) or the glabella. It is injected by the subcutaneous route only, never superficially, with a 1:1 correction factor and no overcorrection.
