Ellansé S lasts up to 18 months and Ellansé M up to 24 months. The two differ only in the initial polymer chain length of the PCL. Duration also depends on injection technique, patient lifestyle and metabolic rate.
Is ELLANSÉ a filler?
Yes. ELLANSÉ is a dual-action dermal filler. Its carboxymethylcellulose gel fills areas of volume loss immediately, while its PCL microspheres stimulate the body's own collagen production over time. PCL is biodegradable and is broken down into carbon dioxide and water.
Which treatment areas is ELLANSÉ used for?
ELLANSÉ is injected subdermally in the forehead, temples, brow, nose, cheeks, nasolabial folds, oral commissures, marionette lines, chin and jawline, and is also used for hand rejuvenation. ELLANSÉ is not injected into the periorbital region (eyelids, tear troughs, crow's feet) or the glabella.
