Stylage M Lidocaine is intended for administration by qualified medical practitioners trained in dermal filler injection techniques, using aseptic technique. VIVACY specifies injection into the mid to deep dermis, by needle or blunt-tip cannula, using a retrotracing technique, with the 30G half-inch needles supplied. Where a cannula is used, VIVACY advises a wider gauge than the supplied needle, giving a 27G 40 mm cannula as the example for STYLAGE M. The gel contains lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate 0.3%, so patients must be screened for sensitivity to amide-type local anaesthetics before treatment. Injection plane, technique and volume per treatment area are determined by the treating practitioner.
