Hyamax Plus Extra Deep works through BDDE cross-linked hyaluronic acid at 20 mg/mL, built on a 400 to 1000 micron average particle size. It has the highest degree of cross-linking in the Hyamax CE Series, which is what lets the gel hold structure and projection at depth rather than simply softening a line. Its patented cross-linking technology allows a highly viscous gel to be injected through a fine gauge needle without disrupting the gel particle structure: under the pressure of injection the flow rate rises, and once the pressure stops the gel reverts to its more viscous state. The recommended placement is the mid to deep dermis, and 27G half-inch needles are supplied.
