Viscoderm Hydrobooster is a stabilised cross-linked hyaluronic acid injectable implant by Viscoderm, developed for the treatment of various levels of skin ageing. Usage professionnel

Viscoderm Hydrobooster is an injectable medical device sold on medical prescription only, intended for the exclusive use of authorised medical practitioners, and injected into the dermis. Before each treatment the practitioner performs an adequate anamnesis and overall assessment to confirm the absence of contraindications, and explains the procedure, warnings, precautions, expected duration and possible adverse reactions to the patient. Local anaesthetic may be used for the perioral area. The area is cleaned beforehand with an antiseptic solution that does not contain chlorhexidine or quaternary ammonium salts. The recommended protocol is two sessions with a two-month interval, repeated twice a year to prolong the result; the volumetric markings on the syringe are indicative and the practitioner sets the dose case by case. Gentle massage of the treated area after injection is advised. The product is for intracutaneous use and must not be injected into blood vessels, and injection is absolutely prohibited into implants including tendon, bone, muscle and breast. Around the time of treatment the patient should avoid substances affecting blood fluidity such as aspirin, NSAIDs and vitamin E, and after treatment the injected areas should not be exposed to excessive heat, sun, UV tanning sessions, lasers or intense cold until swelling and redness have fully resolved. Do not mix with other injectable substances or use other implants in conjunction. Supplied sterile and single use: do not re-use the contents for further treatments or other patients, use immediately once opened, discard unused product, and do not use if the package is open or damaged. Complete the adhesive traceability labels supplied in the pack and apply them to the patient's record. After use, dispose of needles and syringes following hospital-waste procedures. Store between 2°C and 28°C; do not freeze and do not expose to heat sources.

Profil du patient

Viscoderm Hydrobooster is intended for adult patients with superficial or moderate wrinkles, loss of skin elasticity and tone, or uneven texture and dull complexion, and is particularly indicated where those changes affect the dynamic areas of the face. Suitability is determined by the treating practitioner following clinical assessment, and the periorbital and perioral zones are delicate areas requiring appropriate technique. It must not be used in patients with an infectious or inflammatory process in the vicinity of the area to be treated, known hypersensitivity to keloids, allergy to any of the components, immune system disorders, chronic pathological conditions of the skin, or disorders due to coagulation factors or ongoing anti-coagulant therapy. It must not be used during pregnancy. Treatment results depend on the skin type and the nature of the imperfections.
