Revanesse Outline™+

Revanesse Outline+ is a colourless, odourless and transparent aqueous gel of synthetic origin from Prollenium Medical Technologies in Aurora, Canada, designed to treat medium to deep facial rhytides and lipoatrophy. It is placed in the middle part of the dermis layer, where its implantation life averages 6 to 12 months. Its composition is 25 mg/mL of hyaluronic acid cross-linked with BDDE and 0.3% lidocaine in phosphate-buffered saline, for professional use. Each box contains two 1.2 mL syringes with up to two sterilised needles, and Outline+ comes in both a 27G and a 29G needle version.

For professional use. Revanesse Outline+ should only be injected by or under the direct supervision of qualified physicians trained in the proper injection technique for filling facial wrinkles, and is not for retail sale or self-administration. It is placed in the middle part of the dermis layer. The area must be thoroughly disinfected and injection performed under sterile conditions; bring the product to room temperature for 30 minutes beforehand, prime the syringe until a small drop appears at the needle tip, and inject slowly with the least pressure necessary. If the skin blanches, stop immediately and massage until normal colour returns. It must not be injected into an area already containing another filler or a permanent implant, and must not contact quaternary ammonium salts such as benzalkonium chloride. Store between 2 and 25 degrees Celsius, protected from direct sunlight and freezing.

For adult patients seeking correction of medium to deep facial rhytides or of lipoatrophy, as assessed by a qualified physician. Because it contains lidocaine, it is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any amide-type local anaesthetic. Further contraindications include hypertrophic scarring, acne or other inflammatory skin disease, acute or chronic skin disease at or near the injection site, auto-immune disorders or immunotherapy, multiple severe allergies, coagulation defects or anti-coagulation therapy, sensitivity to hyaluronic acid, and unattainable expectations. It contains trace amounts of gram-positive bacterial proteins and is contraindicated in patients allergic to such material. It must not be used during pregnancy or lactation, in anyone under 18, or in conjunction with laser, intense pulsed light, chemical peeling or dermabrasion.
