Professional use

Fillmed Art Filler Volume is intended strictly for professional use by qualified medical and aesthetic practitioners, supplied as a pre-filled single-use syringe and injected via needle for facial volume restoration and shaping. It must not be injected into blood vessels or into an area where a non-absorbable filler implant has already been injected, and must not be over-corrected. It should not be used immediately before or after laser treatment, deep chemical peeling or dermabrasion.

Patient profile

Fillmed Art Filler Volume must not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid, lidocaine or amide-type local anaesthetics; in patients with a medical history of autoimmune illness or receiving immunotherapy; in patients with uncontrolled epilepsy; in patients affected by porphyria; in patients with a tendency to develop hypertrophic scars; in patients with a medical history of recurring sore throats related to rheumatic fever localised in the heart; in pregnant or breastfeeding women; in children; or in areas with inflamed and/or contagious skin lesions such as acne or herpes. It must also not be injected for the correction of superficial and fine lines, into the eye area (eyelids, crow's feet, under-eye area), the glabellar area, the lips or muscles. In patients with a history of severe multiple allergies or anaphylactic shock, the practitioner decides on the indication case by case according to the nature of the allergy and specifically monitors at-risk patients. Patient suitability is otherwise determined by the treating practitioner following clinical assessment.
