Neauvia Intense Lips is a biodegradable, PEG cross-linked hyaluronic acid filler manufactured by Matex Lab in Brindisi, Italy, intended to restore lost volume of the soft tissue and resorbed over time. As the lip-specific reference of the Intense line, it is placed in the vermilion and the perioral area with a 27G needle. It holds 24 mg/mL of hyaluronic acid with a medium extrusion force, enriched like every filler in the range with glycine and L-proline. Its gel is made with Neauvia's patented Smart Crosslinking Technology, combining hyaluronic acid and PEGDE in a single network.

For professional use. Neauvia Intense Lips is only to be used by physicians in accordance with local legislation, trained in the injection techniques of hyaluronic acid based fillers, and is not for retail sale or self-administration. It is placed in the vermilion and/or the perioral area using the 27G needle supplied in the box. Its high thermodynamic stability and heat resistance are what allow it to be used within combined protocols alongside energy-based devices.

Perioral fat atrophy is among the changes commonly observed with age, alongside atrophy in the forehead and periorbital compartments, so the practitioner selects the grade of filler and the plane of placement according to which layer has changed.

Neauvia Intense Lips functions as a space-filling agent, mechanically expanding the soft tissue and adding volume directly where it is placed. Its PEGDE cross-linking gives the hydrogel high conformational flexibility, allowing shape modification without structural damage, which matters in the lip, where tissue is in constant motion. Glycine and L-proline are added to the phosphate buffer solution to tune the viscoelastic properties and swelling resistance, giving better control of the hydrogel's swelling capacity in the post-implant phase. The gel is a temporary filling, with a 6 month degradation average time.
