Patient profile

Suitable for adult patients assessed as appropriate by the treating practitioner. How Belotero Balance Lidocaine Works

Belotero Balance Lidocaine works through cross-linked sodium hyaluronate, supplied at 22.5 mg/ml with lidocaine hydrochloride 3.0 mg/ml in a physiological phosphate buffer at pH 7, made up to 1 mL. The gel is sterile, non-pyrogenic, viscoelastic, colourless, transparent and of non-animal origin, and acts as an injectable biodegradable implant that fills moderate facial wrinkles and folds. It is placed in the superficial to mid-dermis for naso-labial folds, marionette lines, perioral lines and moderate oral commissures, and submucosally or subcutaneously for lip enhancement. The 0.3% lidocaine acts locally during administration to reduce pain associated with injection of the gel and does not alter that mechanism.
