Sunekos Inticare is an injectable medical device by Sunekos, developed by Professional Dietetics for the intimate area with specific therapeutic indications. It is suitable for qualified practitioners treating Vulvo-Vaginal Atrophy (VVA) on the labia minora, labia majora, vestibule, vaginal introitus and vaginal walls. Its patented HY6AA formula combines non-cross-linked low molecular weight hyaluronic acid with a cluster of six amino acids, designed to restructure the extracellular matrix of the mucosal lining and produce a long lasting physiological rehydration, and the product is intended for professional use. It comes as a pack of two 3 ml treatments to be reconstituted.

Uso profesional

Sunekos Inticare is a Class III medical device for the intimate area, supplied for professional use only and administered by qualified medical practitioners trained in vulvo-vaginal injection technique. The product is supplied as a pack of two treatments to be reconstituted before use, each combining a 3 ml vial of non-cross-linked low molecular weight hyaluronic acid with a 100 mg bottle of the patented 6AA formula. The treating practitioner determines patient suitability, the areas treated, the injection plane, the dose per point and the session interval. Technique differs by area: the labia majora are treated sub-cutaneously with a fan technique using a 13 mm 30-32 G needle at 0.3 ml per point; the vestibule, introitus and vaginal walls are treated with micro-bolus injections using a 4 mm 30-32 G needle at about 0.03 ml per point, intra-mucosa at 2 mm depth for the introitus and vaginal walls. Aseptic technique applies throughout and any unused reconstituted solution is discarded.

Sunekos Inticare is intended for adult patients presenting with vulvo-vaginal atrophy, where restoration of mucosal elasticity and physiological hydration is the treatment goal. Suitability, the areas to be treated and the number of sessions are determined by the treating practitioner following clinical assessment. In preliminary data from a multicentric clinical trial, the treatment was evaluated on 85 patients with vulvo-vaginal atrophy using the Likert scale, showed high tolerability and recorded no adverse events.
