Hyamax PLLA

Hyamax PLLA is an injectable poly-L-lactic acid filler by Laboratories Hyamed SA, Geneva, developed to stimulate the body's own collagen production and restore facial volume. It is indicated for superficial and deep intradermal injection to boost natural collagen, correct fine lines and wrinkles of the cheek area, rebuild volume that has been lost, improve skin texture and moisturise and brighten the skin, and for correcting shallow to deep nasolabial contour defects, restoring lost fat to the face and correcting signs of facial lipoatrophy; because the collagen response develops over weeks, the result builds progressively rather than appearing immediately, and it lasts up to 24 months. The product is presented as two vials for reconstitution, 150 mg of poly-L-lactic acid microspheres in bottle A and 5 mL of non cross-linked hyaluronic acid at 12 mg/mL containing 0.3% lidocaine in bottle B, which are mixed and gently shaken before use, and it is intended for professional use only. It is supplied with 27G needles.

Uso profesional

Hyamax PLLA is an injectable biostimulator intended for administration exclusively by licensed and appropriately trained healthcare professionals within a controlled clinical environment. It is supplied strictly for professional use and is not intended for retail sale to, or self-administration by, end consumers. It is a two-vial system requiring reconstitution before use: bottle A contains 150 mg of poly-L-lactic acid microspheres, bottle B contains 5 mL of non cross-linked hyaluronic acid with lidocaine hydrochloride. The contents must be mixed and gently shaken well before use. The injection zone is the face, needles are 27G, and the effect lasts up to 2 years. Because the formulation contains lidocaine, patients must be screened for hypersensitivity to lidocaine or other amide-type local anaesthetics.

Indicated for adult patients seeking collagen biostimulation, volume rebuilding or improved skin texture, following clinical assessment by the treating practitioner. Because the product contains lidocaine, patients with known hypersensitivity to lidocaine or other amide-type local anaesthetics are not candidates. As a biostimulator, the result builds progressively rather than appearing immediately, so patients expecting an instant volumising effect should be counselled accordingly or offered a hyaluronic acid filler instead.
